When London finally shrugs off its grey skies and bathes in summer sunlight, there’s no better place to soak it all in than a rooftop bar. These bars off the beaten path are sky-high sanctuaries where cool cocktails meet panoramic views. From the Thames shimmering in golden-hour glow to the silhouette of the city’s most iconic landmarks at dusk, when the sun sets, London’s rooftops transform into hidden oases, safe from bustling city and soundtracked by live music drifting through the air.
Tucked above The Hoxton Shoreditch, Llama Inn is London’s best-kept hidden gem. Having originally opened in Brooklyn in 2015, Llama Inn quickly made its mark with a free-spirited, vibrant, and contemporary take on Peruvian cuisine. Now a cult favourite on New York’s dining scene, it’s earned a string of accolades – among them a Bib Gourmand, a spot in the New York Times’ Top 100 Restaurants of 2023, and a James Beard Award ‘Outstanding Chef’ finalist nod for Chef Erik Ramirez.
Llama Inn London carries forward the spirit of the Brooklyn original, with a menu shaped by Erik’s Peruvian-American roots and a deep respect for the many styles of Peruvian cooking, all viewed through a distinctly New York lens, landing it a spot in the prestigious Michelin Guide. This summer, the Llama Inn has partnered with Casamigos to bring bold flavours, sun-soaked cocktails, and a vibrant lineup of live bands and DJs to the rooftop haven.
On Thursdays, the soulful rhythm of live bands and the vibrant pulse of South American sounds transform the rooftop into a radiant celebration of music and culture, perfect for relaxing with a cocktail in hand and letting the city’s noise fade below.
Latin House takes center stage on Fridays, infusing the Llama Inn with irresistible beats ready to unwind for the weekend. Expect fiery rhythms, deep grooves, and an electric mood that builds with every track, ideal for kicking off the weekend with late-night moves, rooftop views, and nothing on your mind but the next track.
Saturdays are a full-on sonic journey, bringing high-octane DJ sets that blend afro-house, deep house and disco. It’s an elevated party atmosphere where every beat lifts you higher – come for the music, stay for the unforgettable energy.
Running from 12th June to 2nd August, the Casamigos cocktail menu is a sun-drenched celebration of the margarita, reimagined with playful twists and bold flavours. Mi Casa, Su Casa offers a savoury, umami-rich take, combining Casamigos Blanco with tomato liqueur, strawberry, and leche de tigre for a unique depth.
Disco Compincha adds sparkle to the mix with a glittery, clarified margarita made with Casamigos Reposado, disco berry liqueur, superlime, and a dash of soy. Mi Yunta brings the spirit of summer to the glass, blending Casamigos Mezcal and Blanco with raspberry, purple corn, and Trois Citrus for a vibrant, layered profile. For a spiced-up frozen option, Amigo Caliente mixes Casamigos Blanco with Andean tepache, lime, and aji swizzle for a refreshing kick. Rounding off the list is the Cold Casa Classic – a timeless frozen margarita featuring Casamigos Blanco, triple sec, and lime, designed for sipping under the sun.
With margarita riffs, expertly paired Casamigos creations, and sweeping city views, the Llama Inn is the quintessential golden-hour escape for the season – just look for the yellow door.
The Llama Inn & Casamigos menu is served daily from 12pm, 12th June – 2nd August at 1 Willow St, London EC2A 4BH. Book your reservation at the Llama Inn now.
