Festival season is officially upon us, and alongside the music, the mud, and the inevitable hours spent playing “Where’s My Tent?”, choosing your outfits and getting all glittered up is perhaps our favourite part of it all. At music festivals, all outfit inhibitions go out the door and sonic styles bleed into our wardrobe choices, creating a euphoric environment where fun and fashion reign supreme.
To survive festival season, accessories become our armour. There are the essentials: sunglasses (for the sun and for pretending you’re not crying during that emotional acoustic set), bum-bags (because who wants to crowd-surf with a backpack on?) and the trusted waterproof poncho (because who can ever totally trust a weather forecast?).
Yet no sartorial choice is more important to ensure a fuss-free festival experience than footwear. The unsung heroes of any festival fit – let’s be honest, those cute-but-completely impractical sandals will betray your poor feet faster than your friend abandoning you for the front row – the right shoes can mean the difference between dancing all night or limping to the first aid tent by lunchtime. Mud-proof, crowd-stomp-resistant, and ideally able to survive a rogue cup of mystery liquid, your shoes need to be ready for anything. Bonus points if they still look good in the 237 photos you’ll take of your feet in the grass by the late afternoon.
“Crocs clogs really are the perfect festival shoe,” says content creator Maddie Grace Jepson, who paired her Classic Clogs with a black bikini top and easy blue denim cutoffs for an effortless festival fit. “I was checking the weather every day in the lead-up to today, and I’m so glad the sun is out so I can keep my comfy footwear on.”

Weather is usually the ultimate festival fashion villain, especially at UK-based festivals. There’s nothing like a surprise downpour to turn your carefully curated outfit into a soggy mess of rain macs and wellies that scream more “lost farmer” than “style icon.” But luckily, the skies behaved this weekend, and not a single raindrop dared to ruin the parade (or the glitter).
TikTok star Ayamé wore a pastel pink backless crop top and colour-coordinated floral claw clip in her hair. She says her outfit was inspired by her Crocs Classic Clogs, adorned with a selection of pink Jibbitz™ charms, including a miniature vintage car and glittery bow. “I’m very comfortable today, but I’m also giving Pink Pony Club,” she jokes, referring to pop princess Chappell Roan’s rodeo-inspired fuschia style.

DJ, broadcaster and architecture fanatic Reece Davey similarly chose to express his style through a vivid palette, pairing a patchwork two-piece set with a striking Blue Bolt pair of Classic Clogs. The colour blocked look was perfectly in-keeping with the vibrant surroundings and embodied the fun of festival season.

While Ayamé and Reece chose to go bold with colour, others opted for a more pared-back approach. BRICKS founder Tori West donned some Classic Black Crocs with long sheer socks, complimented by her black bubble skirt, sleek tank top, and polka dot cardigan.
“I know it might sound bad – I work in fashion! – but I never plan my outfits,” admits West. “What’s most important to me is how my clothes and footwear feel on my body. That’s why I chose my Crocs Classic Clogs today – I knew I would be out dancing on my feet all day and night. However, just because I want to be comfy, doesn’t mean I’m giving up on style.”

We know that comfort and style don’t need to be mutually exclusive, and these festival goers certainly prove that. To add a unique flair to their personal style, many Crocs wearers added personalised Jibbitz™ charms to their footwear. Tori’s Crocs clogs included a Pride flag, a cocktail, a precious stone, and a four-leaf clover. Tori says: “If I could design my own Jibbitz™ charm, I’d make it a Welsh flag with a dragon, and the dragon would be breathing fire.”
Content creator Georgia Wood also favoured the personalised approach, adding her iconic tagline, “Bonjour”, to her Classic Clogs. Inspired by I Kissed A Girl star Amy Spalding’s laidback looks, Georgia paired her linen Classic Clogs with a pair of matching-hue jorts and a stylish cut-out tank top, along with a custom silver ring from Spalding’s brand, SLT Studios.

At the end of the day, festivals are a marathon, not a runway show. Sure, you want to look stylish, but if your outfit’s rubbing, pinching, or slowly disintegrating by hour three, the vibes will vanish faster than your phone signal. Comfort is the real headliner – it keeps you dancing, laughing, and living your best life all weekend long.
