TORI WEST, EDITOR & FOUNDER

Tori is the founder and editor of BRICKS magazine, which she launched whilst on the Fashion Communications course at the University of West England. West regularly lectures on the fashion courses at the University of South Wales and has written for titles, such as. ELLE, Nylon, DAZED and Gurls Talk. Her writing focuses on politics and feminist issues, emerging talent, fashion, art and identity and challenging societal constructs. In 2017, West launched Publish Cardiff, a one-day publishing event of talks and workshops with an aim to combat the lack of alternative education methods available in Wales for creatives; DAZED, Refinery 29 and British Vogue all hosted talks.

Liza became part of the BRICKS family in 2020, appearing as a Digital cover star for her anti-racism activism during the pandemic. In 2021, she sat down with founder of Black Minds Matter UK Agnes Mwakatuma for our print issue #9 ‘Make Noise’ to discuss mental health support and accessibility for Black people in the UK. Since 2022, Liza has been a Contributing Editor, focussing on pop culture and sociopolitical issues.

MADELINE REID, DEPUTY EDITOR

Maddy is the Deputy Editor at BRICKS and a freelance writer with an interest in the intersection of fashion, digital culture, politics, sport and sustainability. She is an associate lecturer at London College of Fashion and has spoken at Silverstone Museum, hosted workshops for National Saturday Club, and is a co-founder of the BRICKS Learner Platform. Her freelance work has been published in Stylist, TANK and Phoenix magazines. Maddy is also a model with Crumb and is passionate about expanding ideas of what representations of disability look like in the fashion industry.

CHIARA MACULAN, MANAGING EDITOR

Chiara joined the team at BRICKS magazine in 2021 as the assistant to Tori West. She has since undertaken administrative tasks in the production of photoshoots and the podcast on the publication’s Learner’s Platform. Chiara’s experience and approach to production, public relations, event organizing and digital media is shaped by her interest in queer culture, sustainable fashion, sex positivity and music.

RICHIE BARKER

Richie joined the team in 2025 as a freelancer and has since transitioned into the Content Manager role, working across socials and video production, as well as partnerships. Richie is also a freelance photographer and videographer, specialising in events and fashion.

HANNAH BERTOLINO, CONTRIBUTING EDITOR

Hannah Bertolino is a London-based writer and editor specialising in music, fashion, and culture. Her work between BRICKS magazine, Dazed Digital, and mom zine has a focus on musicians and songwriters, Gen Z community spaces, and fan culture.
