For the second episode of our new BRICKS Podcast, we met with Brooklyn-based illustrator and author Grace Miceli, otherwise known as @artbabygirl on Instagram. Grace works across multiple mediums including illustration, animation, comics, product design and murals and recently published her debut book ‘How To Deal’.
Her playful and self-reflective work has been featured in over 50 galleries worldwide, including MoMA, Institute of Contemporary Arts London and Tate Modern.
We caught up to discuss how to deal with life and work as a freelance artist. From the importance of contracts, looking after your mental wellbeing, advice on how to land new clients and what it was like to create her debut book.
