As the government prepares to provide the police with increased powers and crack down even harder on protests as part of the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, we must reflect, once again, on the role that the police force plays in imposing and conducting state-sanctioned violence on those who are most marginalised and exploited in society.
