Born in response to unrealistic beauty ideals, the unique underwear subscription service rightfully explores inner beauty in all its glory by praising, acknowledging and valuing women for their ideas, humour and intelligence over their appearance. Each month, a new underwear design features work of one new artist, writer or thinker aimed to inspire conversation about the female experience. Announcing it’s first inaugural pair of underwear today, the first month’s pair is illustrated by artist Lois Orchard in response to her ideas of sexuality, self love and S&M. The Ugly Girls Club will be exhibiting at the upcoming TEDx Brighton on October 28th, and Shake Bristol on December 4th.
